We will have monitoring measures in place to assess the impacts of our organisation’s operations, production, services, distribution systems and supply chain on the environment, and we will set targets for ongoing improvement.

Our Environmental & Sustainability Action Plan

We regularly assess the environmental impacts of our operations. We set objectives and targets in order to continually improve our environmental performance. This is the case with regards to a general day to day operations, but also on a project-by-project basis. We will regularly review these targets alongside changes to regulations, waste management requirements, availability of new technology and more environmentally friendly materials becoming more accessible.

This action plan is available to all staff and has been drawn to their attention and forms a part of new staff induction.

We will

  • Promote responsibility for the environment within the organisation and communicate and implement this policy at all levels within the workforce.
  • Reduce the use of energy, water and other resources.
  • Minimise waste by reduction, re-use and recycling methods.
  • Comply with all relevant environmental legislation/regulation.
  • Ensure that our policies and services are developed in a way that is complimentary to this policy.
  • Not prioritise funding needs ahead of sustainability requirements.
  • Encourage all charities to commit to the sustainable development philosophy.
