Print Technician & Finisher
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Print Technician & Finisher to join our team at our workshop and large format print function in Washingley, near Peterborough, Cambridgeshire (PE7 3SJ). Reporting to the Print Manager, the successful candidate will work closely with them and will be responsible for printing, cutting, and finishing a wide range of graphics and signage, including fabrics, rollable media, and rigid materials.
Duties will include:
- Graphic finishing including cutting, stitching and finishing a variety of display graphics and signs.
- Using large format printers (Vutek HS 125, Mimaki TS 3200), heat press (Klieverik GTC 3200) and digital cutter (Vivid Veloblade) with related software.
- To check and prepare files for printing.
- To produce and finish graphics for custom exhibition stands and portable displays.
- To print and cut vinyl lettering, logos and images.
- To maintain equipment with support from the Print Manager.
- To work with the GH Display team to design and plan exhibition stand graphics, other graphics, portable displays and any other projects relevant to the business.
- To install graphics both within the GH Display workshop and on-site at customers required location.
- To provide a high level of customer service to both colleagues and customers.
- To communicate effectively with colleagues and work well within the wider GH Display team.
- Be willing to learn new software / equipment and attend training as and when required for the business.
- To maintain a clean, tidy and safe working area.
- To effectively manage your own time, priorities and workload.
- To conduct yourself and carry out any work for the business in line with GH Display policies and procedures.
- To complete any other tasks that are deemed as reasonable.
Experience & qualities that we are looking for:
- Prior experience in a print operator and/or finisher role (ideally 2 years).
- Stitching experience would be an advantage.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent team player
Hours, pay and benefits:
- Salary: £26-£28k dependent on experience
- Annual leave: 20 days + bank holidays
- Benefits: Pension, free parking, life insurance, cycle to work scheme
- Hours: 40 hours per week, 8am – 4:30pm Monday to Friday
