Responsibilities:

  • Building and assembling custom exhibition stands to client specifications using a mix of carpentry and joinery skills
  • Travelling to venues across the UK and internationally for installation and breakdown – overnight stays required
  • Collaborating with a team of professionals and external contractors to ensure high-quality execution
  • Upholding top standards in craftsmanship, safety, and overall quality

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Carpenter or Exhibition Stand Builder is essential
  • Experience in the exhibition or events industry is highly desirable
  • Full UK driving license (must be aged 25+ for insurance purposes)
  • Strong attention to detail and a high level of organisation
  • A team player who can also thrive independently
  • Physically fit and confident using power tools
  • Able to work regular overtime outside of working hours and stay away as per business needs, including internationally

Benefits:

  • A basic salary of up to £32,000 dependent on experience (OTE up to £40k including overtime)
  • Monday to Friday hours, 08:00–16:30 (flexibility required)

Business Administration Apprenticeship (Level 3)

We are offering a hands-on role that combines full-time employment with on-the-job training, supported by the completion of a Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship. We are looking for a driven, resourceful, and hardworking individual to join our team? As part of the programme, you will attend training sessions at Peterborough College up to twice per month.

Training – delivered by Inspire Education Group at Peterborough College

Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.

Business administrator apprenticeship (level 3)

The role

As a member of our Sales Team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to incoming enquiries

  • Processing customer orders

  • Providing updates on order status

  • Coordinating tasks across internal departments

  • Supporting colleagues and customers through the project journey from initial enquiry through to client handover
  • Contributing to the overall success of the Sales team

With time and experience, you will have the opportunity to independently manage custom exhibition stand projects—from initial enquiry through to client handover.

IMPORTANT: The GH Display premises is located in a rural location outside of Peterborough and is not served by public transport. For this reason, we recommend that applicants are able to drive and have access to a vehicle.

Apprentice Project Manager (Level 6 - Degree)

Are you looking to gain a degree qualification whilst building a career in Events and Project Management?
If you are hardworking, ambitious, driven and resourceful this could be the perfect Apprenticeship opportunity for you.

We are offering a hands-on role that combines full-time employment with on-the-job training, supported by the completion of a Level 6 (Degree BSC) Project Management Apprenticeship.

Training – delivered by Anglian Ruskin University

  • BSc (Hons) in Project Management – 2 years 6 months
  • Taught through blended learning consisting of online learning and 16 scheduled workshops per year delivered either on-campus or at a specially selected hotel and conference facilities close to Cambridge or Chelmsford.

The role

You will experience all tasks associated with our Sales & Projects Team. As a member of the Team, your responsibilities will include:

  • Responding to incoming enquiries
  • Processing customer orders and providing updates on order status
  • Take project briefs from customers and in-turn brief the 3D Design Team
  • Complete the required project documentation and bookings throughout the lifecycle of the project, liaising with internal and externals parties. This includes H&S documentation, stand plans, service bookings, logistics bookings, travel bookings, hotel bookings, Carnet arrangements and more.
  • Coordinating tasks across internal and external stakeholders.
  • Supporting colleagues and customers throughout the project journey from initial enquiry through to client handover, ensuring all tasks are completed as required.
  • Working with internal production and print teams co-ordinate the manufacturer of the stand/displays ensuring the client brief is achieved and expectations met.
  • Plan the travel, accommodation, transport, on-site services and other requirements for the successful delivery.
  • Have client and other stakeholder meetings throughout the lifecycle of the project.
  • Complete on-site handovers to clients.
  • Contributing to the overall success of the Sales team

With time and experience, you will independently manage custom exhibition stand projects—from initial enquiry through to client handover.
