ADSL

Working with creative agency, Lionhouse, we were asked to design and build a high-impact, contemporary exhibition stand for ADSL’s presence at SCS Formulate, the UK’s largest event for the personal care and cosmetic ingredients industry. As the UK’s leading development, testing & regulatory laboratory for cosmetic, household & food products, ADSL required a stand that communicated professionalism, scientific expertise and trust, while still offering a warm, approachable environment for visitor conversations.

The brief was to create a fully bespoke, open-plan space that showcased ADSL’s various service divisions through strong branding, digital content and clean architectural lines. The stand needed to include multiple seating areas, a central hospitality zone, integrated AV screens and illuminated branding visible from all directions.

The Design & Build

We created an impressive display stand using a mixture of bold colour, warm wood textures and crisp white structural elements. ADSL’s signature deep magenta formed the core palette, applied across the main feature walls and graphic panels. These strong brand statements were paired with herringbone vinyl flooring to add warmth and a premium finish.

Key Features:

Bespoke Branded Walls

Large-format printed panels wrapped the stand architecture, each dedicated to a specific ADSL service area such as Formulation & Development, Patch Testing & User Trials, and Global Compliance. Integrated LED-lit headers ensured the branding remained visible across the exhibition hall.

Integrated AV Displays

Multiple screens were installed to showcase ADSL’s services, laboratory expertise and case studies. These digital touchpoints helped to attract attention and provided an engaging way for visitors to learn more about the company.

Hospitality & Meeting Spaces

The design incorporated a flexible layout with:

• Café-style seating for informal conversations

• High-table hospitality area for demonstrations or drinks

• A welcoming reception counter featuring subtle LED lighting

This mix of zones encouraged natural visitor flow and maximised engagement opportunities.

Open & Accessible Layout

With three accessible sides, the stand invited visitors in from all directions. Carefully positioned walls provided structure and branding without compromising visibility or openness.
