With significant investment in renewable energy, efficient low energy lighting, recycled and recyclable manufacturing materials, we are making steady progress towards the Carbon Neutral Certification from the Carbon Trust.
This week begins the installation of 160 solar panels along the South facing roof sections of our Workshop in Cambridgeshire. It is estimated that these solar panels, alongside a 10.5kw hour battery will produce and store most of the energy needed to run the heating, power and lighting at our large 24,000 square foot facility.
Once the solar panel project is completed by the end of Spring 2023, we will progressing with the next phase of our Carbon Neutral Certification plan, turning our waste into energy with a biomass boiler.
