McHugs - Maison&Objet Exhibition Stand

At Maison&Objet in Paris, McHugs introduced a warm and inviting 3m x 3m exhibition stand that captured the brand’s essence: “Always Warm Hugs.” Despite the compact footprint, the space was transformed into a bright, immersive micro‑showroom that showcased the full personality of the McHugs plush collection.

GH Display designed the stand as a boutique‑style retail environment, using clean white shelving across three walls to create a fresh, gallery‑like backdrop. This allowed the plush characters — from classic bears to playful penguins and colourful creatures — to take centre stage. The shelves were densely merchandised to create a rich, tactile display that invited visitors to step inside and explore.

A bold purple carpet introduced a vibrant brand accent, grounding the space and drawing attention from the busy exhibition aisles.

The back wall featured the McHugs logo and tagline, “Always Warm Hugs,” presented in a clean, modern style that reinforced the brand’s emotional identity. The overall atmosphere was intentionally warm, approachable, and family‑friendly — a space where visitors could slow down, interact with the products, and connect with the brand.

Sustainability built-in

As with every project delivered by GH Display, sustainability played a central role in the stand’s construction. The structure was built using reusable modular components, ensuring minimal waste and maximum longevity. All timber elements were sourced from sustainable suppliers, and the shelving, furniture, and walling were selected for their durability and reusability across future events. The carpet was latex free and as such, recycled after use.

All print and production was completed by our team at the GH Display workshop using 100% renewable energy from our solar panel rooftop. The stand was transported in GH Display vehicles using hydrotreated vegetable oil (HVO), reducing carbon emissions by up to 90% compared to Diesel.

The final result was a stand that not only looked eye catching and welcoming but also aligned with McHugs’ values of warmth, care, and responsibility.
